OCTOBER 2007 NEWSLETTER
Halloween
Celebrations: During the last class of the month, we
will be having a costume party where dancers can wear his/her
favorite costume and we will celebrate the occasion as part of
class. Parents you may bring goodies to share. Please check with
the instructor for any special instructions concerning allergies.
Note on studio cleaning schedule: Parents and
students please note the studio is cleaned weekly. The stains on
the tile floor are not dirt. If you have any further concerns,
please let us know. The lease for the facility mandates that no
paper towels be in the restrooms, towels only.
During dance class, the classroom door is to be
shut to allow for maximum uninterrupted dance experiences. Parents,
the instructors will bring you in on a regular basis to demonstrate
the student’s learning. Please be respectful of the other students
and remain in the waiting area during class.
Dancers: Please wear dance clothing, hair away
from face and no distracting jewelry. No eating on the dance
floor. No gum or candy during class!
There are no dance holidays during the month of
October!
Congratulations to Miss Corrie. She was
married on September 22nd to Heath Whittington!
Please join the competition students at Joyful
Night to be held in the Cultural Center Tuesday December 4th
beginning at 630. Our dancers will be performing selections from
Rose’s version of a Jazzed Up Nutcracker! More information coming
soon. The group will also perform Thursday December 20th
at 6:30 at St. Albans High School.
Mark your calendars: Swing Sing will be held
Sunday November 11th at 2pm at the Municipal
Auditorium. It is a showcase of Kanawha County High School Show
Choir programs. This year Miss Rose and Miss Savannah are
choreographing Riverside. It’s a great event for the whole family!
Costume info is coming out this month. Please
be attentive to deadlines.
